Have you recently broken up with someone?  Or has your boyfriend or girlfriend recently broken up with you?  Are you wondering “How to save my relationship”?  Break-ups can be incredibly difficult and painful for both people involved, even if you’re the one doing the breaking-up.  And so often today, many people who break up could have actually stayed together or gotten back together if they had gotten the right advice and information.  If you are interested in learning, “How to get my boyfriend back,” (or girlfriend) or if you are on the verge of a break-up, there are some things you should know.

Break-up or Make-up?
Figuring out whether you should break-up or make-up with your boyfriend or girlfriend can be a really tough decision.  The best way to gain some perspective is to consider the following:

  1. What do your parents, siblings and friends honestly think about the relationship?  If they have nothing but bad stuff to say about your boyfriend or girlfriend, it is likely that they are right and maybe you should break-up.  Likewise, if your friends and family really like your bf/gf and keep asking why you’re having problems, then you can be pretty sure that making-up is the way to go.
  2. Are you and your bf/gf “bad” for one another?  Do you engage in destructive of abusive activities together?  If you or your partner are using drugs or are being physically or emotionally abusive (or abused), then moving on may be the best decision for you both.  Even though it’s hard, you will probably be better off in the future.
  3. Trust issues are a major reason people break-up.  If you or your bf/gf have somehow lost the ability to trust one another, then you need to decide if you will ever be able to get that back.  If not, breaking-up is the better thing to do, because a relationship without trust is not worth having.
